About DigitalBeak
Independent advice on data protection and AI
We help Australian organisations get real value from the data protection tools they already own, and prepare their data for AI assistants before those assistants go live.
Who we are
A specialist consultancy, independent by design
DigitalBeak is an independent Australian consultancy. We focus on one problem: making sure the right data is protected, without getting in the way of the work people need to do.
We work with security and IT leaders, and we write for executives too. Every engagement ends with findings you can act on and a plan in priority order.
Vendor-agnostic
We start with what you already have
Many organisations already own more data protection capability than they use. We work with whatever stack you have and recommend vendors only to fill a genuine gap. When we do, we explain the trade-offs and the decision stays with you.
Many Australian organisations already run Microsoft 365, and we bring deep expertise there: its data loss prevention, sensitivity labelling, data discovery and AI assistant controls.
How engagements work
Four steps, no surprises
-
01
Conversation
A short call to understand what you are trying to solve. If we are not the right fit, we will say so.
-
02
Scope and fixed fee
A written proposal with scope, timeline, deliverables and a fixed fee, agreed before any work starts.
-
03
The work
We agree access and contacts up front, then keep your security lead informed as findings emerge.
-
04
Readout
A written report in plain English and a readout session, with clear next steps in priority order.
Principles
How we work with you
-
Plain English
Every finding says what it is, why it matters and what to do next.
-
Evidence over opinion
Findings come from your configuration and data, not from a generic checklist.
-
Your stack first
We start with what you own before suggesting anything new.
-
Clear boundaries
What is in and out of scope is written down before we start.
We map our work to Essential Eight and ISM expectations. We do not provide legal advice. Where a question needs a lawyer, we will say so.
Tell us what you are trying to solve.
We will tell you plainly whether we can help, and which engagement fits.
